I have some exciting news! I started a theology podcast this week! It’s in addition to my theology vlog and is a way for me to dive into some theological questions in more depth. Give it a listen and let me know what you think!
“Why is studying the lives of the Saints important? ” from Thursday’s Theology on Anchor: https://anchor.fm/thursdays-theology/episodes/Why-is-studying-the-lives-of-the-Saints-important-e1ugag
What happens when we refuse to extend the mercy and grace we received from God to others? The answer is not good. This week’s episode we discuss the Parable of the Unmerciful Servant and why Jesus uses it to reveal what happens when we refuse to extend mercy to others.
Thanks for joining us this week! We appreciate your time.
And remember, Theology doesn’t have to be difficult, it is simply the study of who God is. Take care and see you next week.

Welcome to our first episode on the Parables of Jesus! The Parable of the Wineskin Today we talk about one of the weirder parables, and that is the Parable of the Wineskin found in Luke 5. This parable talks about how if we stick to our rigid theologies and legalistic interpretation of the Bible, then […]
What does it mean to repent? Why are we called to repent? What does repentance mean for our souls?
This week’s episode, we dive into the topic of repentance and what it means to turn from our sin and strive towards a deeper, more profound relationship with God.
This is the last video of our “What’s that?” series. Join us next week as we start a new series on the Parables of Jesus. Thanks for joining us, and remember, theology doesn’t have to be difficult, it is simply the study of who God is.
What is grace? What does it mean to live by the grace of God? What does it do to our sin?
In this week’s episode, we cover the idea of grace and what it means for our sin. Ultimately, grace is something that we experience. Any words we come up with to describe it will fail to capture the true essence of grace. As always, the concept of grace can not be boiled down in one episode, but we will highlight the story of the Woman Caught in Adultery to try and understand what grace looks like.
Thanks for joining us for this installment of Thursday’s Theology!
What is sin? Is it a list of things that we can’t do? Is it things that bring us shame? Or is it more than that?
This week’s episode is dedicated to answering the question “what is sin?” We explore how sin, at its core, gets in the way of our relationship with God. Sin and God cannot coexist in the same space.
Sorry that this week’s episode is late, but the upload on Thursday didn’t go through, so we are a little late, but nevertheless, enjoy this week’s episode!
Welcome to our 5th episode on prayer!
This week we talk about how theology is like watching a movie. Hearing from different people and their perspectives helps broaden our understanding of theology. There is beauty in the diversity of theological opinions.
Then we dive into how to be angry with God in our prayers. It is not taboo or forbidden, but an expression of our relationship with God. Anger is a natural part of any relationship, including our relationship with God. God desires us to be in full relationship, meaning the entire pantheon of emotion.
**By the way, I misspoke in the video, Habakkuk’s prophecy is right before the Babylonian exile, not the Assyrian.**
Let us know what you think!

Welcome to the second official episode of Thursday’s Theology!
The question that is guiding us throughout these first few episodes is;
What is Prayer and why is it important?
Today we’ll be looking at one of the more famous prayers in the Bible. This prayer has come to be known as the “Lord’s Prayer” and it has helped shape a lot of what prayer looks like for the Christian believer.
The Lord’s Prayer gives us a glimpse at what Jesus thinks is important to include in our prayers, so we will dive into what those things are and how to incorporate them into a daily prayer routine.
We encourage discussion in the comments, so feel free to introduce yourselves and input your opinion! Disclaimer, disagreements are okay, but hateful speech will not be tolerated. The point is to start a conversation, not an argument.
If you like what we’re doing here, please like and subscribe. We will be putting out new videos every Thursday. Also, please share this video on whatever social media you use, the more people in the conversation, the better!
